At the beginning of Macbeth we talked a lot about fate. Fate is causes a lot of problems in this book. To start of the book Macbeth gets in a huge problem with fate. This idea is extremely important to what happens to everyone in the play. This is the one we should pay most attention too.
We see this in the play a lot. Everyone in the play mentions something about fate. Fate is compared to a lot of things also. Macbeth is one of the main character that has issues with fate. I also believe that this idea is part of the theme.I think the book is saying that fate can change make you do crazy things.

Macbeth Quote
Quote- "Is this a dagger which I see before me," (51)
I think this quote means a lot to the first 3 acts. I think it is important because there is a lot of deaths in these acts. Macbeth has Duncan killed and Banquo. Macbeth kills some guards to cover the fact that he killed Duncan. This quote matters to the play because this is what Macbeth says when he is thinking about killing Duncan.
I think that this quote is saying that Macbeth doesn't know if he should kill Duncan or not. This quote you can think that nothing is there but you also can believe that there is something there. This unsure like nature can be conveyed that he is unsure about the murder of Duncan.

Club Volleyball
Club Volleyball just recently ended for me. I have really enjoyed it. I got to play with people from St. Joesph's and Parkview. The experience was really great. I learned a lot of valuable things from my coach and my teammates. We all really bonded and it made playing in tournaments a lot more fun. I also got to play against my friends. My friend Carson Saurage is a good back row player and really gave me helpful tips. Camille Couvillion also gave me some really helpful tips as a front row player. I am extremely thankful for their help.
I have Episcopal volleyball tryouts coming up soon. I am really excited for them because I love playing with my friends from school. This will be very great. One of my favorite things to do is to hit and block. I am glad I will get the chance to tryout and possibly make the team.

Statements & Times
If you are in a position of power, you are happy.
I disagree with this statement because a position of power cannot buy all of the happiness in the world. Many people aren't happy who have a really high position. To connect it with Macbeth, Macbeth found out that he would have to kill someone to become king and that really didn't make him happy. It made him change he wasn't happy after that point.
If something is destined to happen, it will happen without your interference.
I agree with this statement because if something is meant to be then it will happen on its own without your own personal guidance. For Macbeth he agreed with this at one point but now he believes that he will have to kill more people to become king

Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras
by: Bria Turner
Plop plop plop the sound of the smooth beads
The coconuts calling your name
It seems as if the stuffed bears run from you
Us waiting
for the next parade
Kings and Queens
Actors and Actresses
You look
You see
You wonder
These are the happiest moments
This is home
This is life
This is us
This is Mardi Gras
I used sibilance, onomatopoeia, and alliteration.

Song Analysis
MY SONG: Let it Go by Idina Menzel
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/idinamenzel/letitgo.html
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/idinamenzel/letitgo.html
I first heard this song was in the movie theater. I have always really enjoyed this song. There are multiple different techniques used in this song. One of them that I noticed while analyzing was euphony. I found a lot of sounds that were very pleasing with the letters M or L. This technique was used to make the song sound pleasing to the ear of anyone who heard it. The euphony made it appealing. The next technique I noticed is called onomatopoeia. In this song I heard a lot of sounds that were said such as whirling, howling, and swirling. These words were used to add a lot of affect on how people knew how she felt. Lastly I noticed alliteration. I saw many vowel sounds that were next to each other. This made the song a little bit more dramatic. All of these techniques give the song a emotional feel. They help show the true emotions of Elsa.
The soapstone for me in Let it Go was pretty simple. The subject of this song is being free from the previous struggle. The occasion is that sometimes people just want their troubles gone. Audience is people just watching the movie or just listening to the song. It is also to people who are having a hard time. Purpose is to show that everyone just needs to take a break. The speaker is else. It is in is in first person. The tone is relief.

Research Paper Draft
In this draft I feel confident in my information. I think that I found a lot of valuable information from the websites that I found. The information was very helpful to me supporting my thesis. To find the information I used my research question which was helpful also. I am a little unsure about my wording and my sentence structure. Even though I worked on it for an hour I feel like it could have been better but I just need a little help with that before I turn my final draft in.
What was easy for me was finding all of the information I needed for supporting my thesis. I found it easy because it of my research question was good so I got good information. Something that was hard was just mechanical errors and trying to fix them. I would just like help with my sentence structure as I mention earlier. I should focus my reading of the feedback on the transitions and how I word things in my paper.

Snow Week
During the snow week, I mostly slept. I didn't do much because it was very cold outside. I really do dislike the cold weather. So while I was at home I did my emergency closing assignments, slept, and watched netflix. I woke up on morning and I was really excited because it was snowing. I went outside and it was a let down because the only thing that had snow was on my roof so I couldn't build a mini snowman. I was pretty sad about that so I just went back and finished my assignments

the modern pharaoh
Hey! My topic is on the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. The basis of my information is from my research question which is "What are the rights, roles, and responsibilities of the Pharaoh of Egypt. This question was really helped me find the information I need. This topic has always really interested me. Ancient Egypt and the Pharaohs that rule it have always been my favorite topic in social studies since I was little. I have found a lot of good and valuable information. Something that I found very interesting while I was searching was that since the people of ancient Egypt viewed the Pharaoh as the "Father of the Land" he had to do the things that fathers would do for their children.
The topic that I choice to research for the National History Day project is the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. To help me find information for this topic my research question was "What are the rights, roles, and responsibilities of the Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt?". The Pharaohs were very important to the people of the ancient world. That is one reason I decided to write about them.

Paul's Prompt
Paul's prompt- What is the best part of your day, week, month, and life?
The best part of this month January 2014 is that I got a new phone for Christmas. I ordered in December and it finally came in last week. I got an iPhone 5s. I was really glad because I broke my last phone it was really bad. I could not even use it. I was really upset by it being broken because I didn't have a phone for a couple months I was really bored.
The other great thing this month was that it is a new year. I am glad its a new year because I can do things better such as eating healthier. I hope that this will be a great year for me and the people around me. I hope everything will go great

My topic
My topic for the National History Day Project is the rights and responsibilities of the Pharaoh in Ancient Egypt. I am also including the role the pharaoh in Egypt. I chose this topic because the Ancient Egypt and the Pharaohs have had a very important effect on the modern world. I thought it would be a good idea to do my project on how their rights and responsibilities of a pharaoh have effect the modern day people and the ancient world people.
There are a lot of important things that I have to do for the research of my topic. First I need to find some of the rights and responsibilities of the pharaoh. I really need to find out about how his role effected the people of Egypt, and possible changes in the world because of what they did. I really think that the pharaohs are and were very important to the world.
