short stories

I have found it very helpful to read the short stories in class. It is helpful to read these stories because they help me think about what I want to write my short story on. It has kind of made a path for me on the journey to writing my story. I really like the way we did annotations. Focusing on a specific part of the story. It helped me realize what kind of details I needed and other things of that nature!

I don't really understand if my short story should be something true like Da-Duh or a fiction story like Harrison Beregeron. Thats all I am really unsure about! I am thinking I should do a fiction story because I think it would be easier for me to just write and story that isn't true than think of a real life story and describe that incident.

    I am glad you think it is helpful to read these short stories because I do too. My story will also be made up. I am excited to see where your writing takes you in developing this short story. I know it will be interesting. You are such a great writer! Nice post!

    I am also doing a fictional story. Also, I agree that reading the short stories and annotating them have helped me become better reader and writer. I'm sure your short story will be great and I can't wait to read it!
